Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credits

Learn the ins and outs of historic rehabilitation tax credits from Clay Colton, owner of Baseline Historic Tax Credit Advisors, during this virtual class. This presentation will explain the benefits of the tax credits, give an overview of the application process and timeline, and provide answers to questions such as, could my project qualify/be eligible, how much does the process cost, and what are QREs or eligible expenses?

Caring for Historic Ironwork with Karina Roca

October 25, 9:00am – 10:30am

Karina Roca leads this introductory class on New Orleans’ historic ironwork. The class will cover how to identify iron, common issues that arise and how to spot them, and why preserving the original material is important. Karina will also give a hands-on demonstration on restoration and maintenance techniques.

Navigating the HDLC

November 12 at 6:00pm — 7:00pm

The PRC partners with the Historic District Landmarks Commission to offer this free, in-person course designed to help property owners understand the HDLC application process and avoid the frustrations experienced by some applicants. Taught by HDLC Senior Architectural Historian Yvette Jett, this class provides an opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the HDLC process.
