Steeg Law is teaming up with New Orleans Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) as a sponsor of its annual philanthropic event, Baubles and Bubbles, which will benefit Metro Centers for Community Advocacy (Metro). CREW, the premier real estate association in the Greater New Orleans Metropolitan Area for women (and even a few savvy men) from all disciplines of commercial real estate, is partnering with Metro to support victims of domestic violence.

The firm is encouraging donations of gift cards, gift certificates and other items for a raffle that the organization hopes will be a big part of the event’s success.

The event will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2019, from 5:30 pm until 7:30 pm at Mignon Faget, located at 3801 Magazine St., New Orleans, Louisiana.

About Metro Centers for Community Advocacy Mission

Metro Centers for Community Advocacy provides wrap-around services related to domestic violence, including individual advocacy, information and referrals, group support, medical advocacy, legal advocacy, sheltering, individual support, safety planning and caregiver support. The organization opened the first transitional shelter for battered women in Louisiana and has since expanded its reach to provide services to eight Louisiana parishes.

Metro’s mission is to break the cycle of violence and aid survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking through advocacy, intervention, empowerment and transformation. Its goal is to provide services for survivors of trauma through trauma-informed care based on current best practices. The organization seeks to help families regain their physical and emotional strength, resulting in empowerment and transformation of individuals, and in turn, the community as a whole. Metro is also active in community education and outreach, operating on the premise that an informed public makes for a safer and more concerned citizenry.
