  • Served as title agent and issued title insurance to purchaser and lender for large multi-family apartment complex in southwestern Louisiana, value in excess of $25,000,000.

  • Represented borrower in refinancing of mid-market office building in Metairie, Louisiana.

  • Represented lender in refinance of mixed use retail/residential/commercial facility in downtown New Orleans.

  • Represented potential buyer of valuable residential property in New Orleans in an action brought by seller and the listing broker for alleged breach of the purchase agreement, wherein the seller and broker sought nearly a million dollars in damages. Argued the case before the Louisiana Court of Appeal for the Fourth Circuit, which recently upheld decision of the trial court in our client’s favor, affirming that title was not merchantable due to a fence encroachment and that the purchaser did not breach the purchase agreement.

  • Represented purchaser of 100% of multiple sellers’ interests in a limited liability company that owns a major property in the French Quarter of New Orleans, and negotiated reduction in outstanding indebtedness owed by that limited liability company.
