The Preservation Resource Center’s 46th annual Julia Jump presented by Landis Construction will be held on May 9, 2025, at the beautifully renovated Board of Trade, a New Orleans landmark that blends historic Renaissance Revival architecture with modern elegance.
Partner Randy Opotowsky and his wife, Kathy, are a Silver Sponsor of this year’s Julia Jump. Money raised at the fundraising event supports all of PRC’s work to preserve New Orleans’ historic architecture, neighborhoods, and cultural identity.
Patrons will enjoy an exclusive performance in the Board of Trade Plaza by 15-year old piano prodigy River Eckert. Hailing from a musical family, River carries the torch passed down by New Orleans piano legends such as James Booker, Professor Longhair, Dr. John and many more.
Following The patron party, guests will enjoy an elegant evening filled with delicious cuisine by Joel Catering, a fabulous silent auction, lively music, and craft cocktails in the Board of Trade Ballroom, all while toasting to over five decades of preservation achievements.
Randy has been a longtime supporter of the PRC. He has chaired the PRC’s Operation Comeback Property Advisory Committee since the early 2000’s, was President of the PRC when Hurricane Katrina occurred, and has served as a Past Vice President, Past Treasurer and Past Secretary.
“I believe that restoration of historic buildings is one of the most important things we can do for our economy here in New Orleans,” says Randy. “It will be a fun evening and a terrific way to support the PRC’s mission.”
