Zachary I. Rosenberg is an Associate with the transactional department. His practice areas include commercial transactions, corporate law, general business law, and commercial and residential real estate law. Zak is known for being both personable and tenacious in support of his clients. He listens carefully to their needs and works diligently to find solutions that accomplish their goals.

Zak also litigated for several years, trying numerous cases to conclusion. As he says, “During my time as a litigator, I gained valuable insight into common issues that can arise after a deal is consummated. This experience helps me understand and protect the financial interests of my transactional clients.”

He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Court Watch NOLA, a non-profit organization focused on promoting greater efficiency, transparency and procedural fairness in Louisiana criminal courts. While at Tulane University Law School, he was the Senior Notes and Comments Editor of the Tulane Law Review and a Legal Research and Writing Senior Fellow.

  • Represented tenant in negotiation and drafting of long-term lease for office space in major medical office building located in Covington, Louisiana
  • Represented purchaser in acquisition of $3.3 million commercial property in Jefferson Parish
  • Preparation and negotiation of a long-term restaurant lease for landlord of iconic St. Charles Avenue building
  • Assisted potential purchasers in obtaining a resubdivision of large lot in Uptown in advance of purchase
  • Represented seller in $2.5 million sale of a pharmacy located in Terrebonne Parish
  • Assisted partners in $6.5 million sale of their partnership interests to national real estate developer
  • Represented seller of inventory of five telecommunications retail stores in the greater new Orleans area
  • Represented purchaser in sale of surplus school board property located in Terrebonne Parish
  • Represented non-profit purchaser in the acquisition of group home for battered and trafficked women
  • Assisted developer in obtaining a resubdivision of several adjoining parcels located in Orleans Parish into one lot of record
  • Represented property owner in the French Quarter of New Orleans in successful re-subdivision of multiple parcels into one unified retail facility
  • Handled refinancing of $650,000 commercial loan for local fraternity house
