Steeg Law Firm and Robert Steeg have long been associated with the New Orleans Museum of Art (NOMA), so we are delighted to let our clients know about one of the museum’s most anticipated events of the year: Art in Bloom. The event showcases spectacular floral designs created by garden clubs, floral designers, and creative talents from New Orleans and beyond.
This year’s theme, “Les Jardins de la Nouvelle-Orléans,” takes inspiration from the elegant gardens and French history of our city. Our residential real estate clients will find their own inspiration in the floral installations located throughout the museum.
There is also the opportunity to learn directly from influential figures in interior and floral design as part of the lecture series at NOMA’s Lapis Center for the Arts. This year’s speakers include Mieke ten Have, an interior stylist, design writer, and creative consultant. Ten Have’s extensive editorial background includes contributions to Vogue, Elle and Architectural Digest. The dynamic mother-daughter duo Susan Crater and Eliza Crater Harris of Sister Parish Design, who lead the renowned American heritage textile and wallcovering brand, will also speak.
Art in Bloom provides critical resources for both NOMA’s educational initiatives and exhibitions and the Garden Study Club of New Orleans’s community grants program that funds projects by City Park, Sprout NOLA and the New Orleans Botanical Garden, among others organizations.
